Russia Protests
23: Pond crossing
31 Jan 2021, Yekaterinburg
Victoria was at a bar on the 37th floor overviewing the city’s pond which protestors chose as an escape route from the riot police. Victoria captioned these image with a dialogue she overheard at a neighbouring table: a life coach/human design specialist talking to one of her trainees:
Coach: What is it? What’s going on?
Trainee: There are people crossing the river.
C: Is it some kind of protest?
C: Well, there are always people crossing the river…
– Very soon they’d lost interest and returned to their topic.
T: Now you have homework to do. But do it consciously.

Letters on the building read as: Who are we? Where are we from? Where are we going?

On 14 February Russian Artist Tima Radya sold this photograph for £4,000 and donated all proceeds to OVD-Info.
